Her TikTok video documenting the cut drew more than 5 million views after starting with about 1,000 followers.

A paramedic who developed scalp psoriasis around age 20 in 2020 said she decided to shave her head in July 2025 after years of nightly treatments, including massaging peanut oil into her scalp and driving 30 minutes each way for narrow-band UVB light therapy, failed to clear her symptoms, according to Glamour.

She documented the shave in a TikTok video with her partner, Alex, who had shaved his own head a month earlier in support; the video, posted when she had roughly 1,000 followers, has since drawn more than 5 million views. She said her scalp began showing less irritation and fewer plaques within a week of shaving, and that she has used a deep-moisturizing pomade from a company called Nopsor, which contacted her after seeing the video, for about a year since.

She said her scalp remains in remission more than a year later, though she still has a few itchy, dry patches elsewhere on her body and knows psoriasis, as an autoimmune condition, could flare again at any time.
