A '90s-inspired eyebrow trend is replacing the heavily filled, "clean girl" brow look, according to Emmy-winning hair and makeup artist Nirvana Jalalvand, who has worked on all three seasons of Netflix's "Wednesday," in an interview with Teen Vogue. The look, called the feathered eyebrow gap, embraces the natural separation at the front of the brow instead of filling it in with pencil or plucking it into a straight line.
Jalalvand said the trend is part of a broader shift away from heavily contoured, "reconstructed" makeup from the 2010s. "We've maybe gone too far with polished makeup to the point of perfection," she said, calling the undone brow "a direction of rejecting that perfection and just letting gaps come through."
