Sienna Spiro, who won Best New Artist at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, wore a manicure that placed shimmer and crystal accents underneath a classic French tip, according to Who What Wear. "We kept the classic French manicure as the foundation, adding a delicate shimmer and subtle crystal accents for a touch of sparkle that felt effortless but still special for the red carpet," said celebrity manicurist Emi Kudo, who called it a build on Spiro's usual soft French look.
Kudo started with OPI's GelColor Stay Strong Base Coat mixed with a drop of the shade Hue Is the Artist?, then painted a shimmery pink base using OPI's GelColor Intelli-Gel in Throw Me a Kiss and sealed it with a glossy topcoat. She used OPI's GelEvate 4-in-1 Builder Gel to secure tiny crystals to the undersides of Spiro's nail tips, creating what celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik described as a "peekaboo gem" effect that catches light only when the hand moves, such as while waving or holding a glass.
