SHEGLAM has added a gray shade called Gray-tiful to its Squeeze & Dot Matte Paint Blush line, designed not as a standalone color but as a way to tone down brighter blushes already in a makeup bag. The brand says the cool-toned pigment color-corrects and mutes more saturated shades, mixing into a vivid pink like Love Cake or Painted Peony to soften its brightness, or into a red like Chili Rouge for a more subdued finish. The liquid formula comes in a squeeze tube with a dotter tip for precise application.
The formula also contains hyaluronic acid and glycerin, both humectants that help the demi-matte finish look hydrated rather than flat, along with an algae-derived version of PDRN, an ingredient traditionally sourced from salmon or trout. SHEGLAM says topical PDRN carries potential skin benefits similar to its injectable form, though the brand notes research on the topical version is still emerging. The brand also recently released four shimmer versions of the same formula — Knock Out, Peach Pie, Pink About You and Spiced Apricot — which Gray-tiful can be mixed into as well, according to NYLON.
