Selena Gomez wore Olive + June's Gel Polish in SC, a deep bordeaux red, to host the fourth annual Rare Impact Fund gala in Los Angeles, a benefit for youth mental health initiatives, according to Allure. Nail artist Tom Bachik applied the gel formula in a few coats with the brand's top coat for added shine.
Bachik said the color was chosen to complement both looks Gomez wore that night: a strapless beaded Prada gown and a sparkly champagne evening gown she changed into later. "We chose the deep bordeaux jelly red that gives the same depth of color as the stones on her red carpet gown and a perfect contrast to her sparkly champagne evening gown," he told Allure.
