A new photography exhibit called All About Alana has opened at the Rectangle Room Gallery in Lower Manhattan, where it will run for a month, according to Dazed Beauty. The show centers on Alana Jessica Martin, an actress, model and musician, and features work from more than 30 photographers spanning college students to industry professionals. Martin sat for more than 30 separate photoshoots over the course of one month so the photographers could create new images specifically for the exhibition, with lighting, hair, makeup and styling changing between shoots.
The resulting work ranges from high-contrast black-and-white portraits to gritty color street photography, with staged studio sets displayed alongside candid shots taken in friends' apartments. Photographer Daniel Arnold's contribution places Martin in a crowded Little Italy street scene beside two onlookers, while veteran editorial photographer Danielle Levitt shot her amid the rush-hour bustle of Katz's Delicatessen.
