Gabby Garritano launched JECT, her modern medical spa, in 2019 with $50,000 in funding and barn wood floors she chose to leave unpainted because she couldn't afford an architect, according to The Zoe Report. The first location opened in New York's West Village; JECT now operates 10 locations across New York, Florida and California.

Garritano got her start as a physician's assistant at a high-end cosmetic surgery practice on Park Avenue after studying premed at the University of Missouri, a path she traces to her mother's breast cancer diagnosis. She began building her own client base after hours, working at the surgery practice from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and then hosting her own patients from 5 to 8 p.m., before striking out on her own.

Garritano said she maintains a daily skincare rotation of retinol, glycolic, salicylic and hyaluronic acids with sunscreen, and gets wrinkle-reducer treatments about every four months in her upper face, lower face, neck bands and, more recently, her shoulders. She also described a structured routine that includes a 7:15 a.m. workout with a boxing trainer, a strict 8 p.m. laptop cutoff, and a willingness to leave events early, saying, "We're getting the hell out of here!" when a recent dinner event ran late.
