Olive & June launched its Dip Mani System on October 22, a DIY dip powder manicure kit the brand says delivers up to 21 days of wear without a UV lamp or electric nail drill. The kit uses plant-based powder derived from cellulose and starch that hardens with an activator liquid rather than traditional acrylic, according to a review in Elle.
The system starts at $75 for one color or $100 for six colors, with 19 individual shades also sold separately at $12 each, which the outlet calculated breaks down to as little as $3 per manicure. Elle's reviewer, who normally pays close to $100 every three weeks for a salon gel manicure, said the application was straightforward with thin, even coats, the finish was glossy with no product buildup around the cuticles, and the dip powder held up through typing, dishwashing and workouts before removing cleanly with an acetone soak.
