Manicurist Mei Kawajiri, who has worked with Dua Lipa and Gigi Hadid, said she purposefully let the paint bleed past the nail, describing the result as the kind of manicure "your boyfriend would paint."
The look stood in sharp contrast to the clean, nude manicure trends that have dominated recently, and reactions split sharply among Harper's Bazaar's own editors, some of whom called it "engagement bait" and "silly" when discussing the show.
