Medicube's Age-R Booster Pro X2, an upgraded version of its 7-in-1 at-home facial device, adds three new modes — Mask, Dual and AI — to the four the original offered (Booster, MC, Derma Shot and Air Shot), according to Glamour. The X2 also has a 1.3-times-larger treatment head, double the electrodes, twice the power density and six intensity levels, versus the original's smaller head and fewer settings.

The X2 is discounted from $300 to $180 for Amazon's Prime Day sale, while the original Booster Pro's mini version is priced at $69. Dual Mode lets users run Derma Shot and Booster simultaneously, cutting a Glamour writer's routine to about five minutes; Mask Mode is designed to intensify a sheet mask's absorption in five minutes rather than the usual 20 to 30; and AI Mode syncs with Medicube's AGE-R app to build a personalized routine based on a user's stated skin concerns.

Professor Ali Hussaini, a consultant ENT and facial plastic surgeon and managing director at Elevate Clinic, told Glamour that Derma Shot and microcurrent modes tend to show the fastest visible results through temporary lifting and tightening, while longer-term skin-quality improvements depend on consistent use alongside a regular skin-care routine. Hussaini said Air Shot Mode works by creating "tiny electrical pathways across the surface of the skin" to help refine texture, and that Derma Shot's EMS technology can "temporarily improve facial definition."
