Daisy Edgar-Jones's press tour for "Sense and Sensibility," styled by hairstylist Bryce Scarlett, has driven demand for the actress's romantic, Georgian-era-inspired fringe, according to Tribeca salon Franklin's co-founder Xavier Velasquez. He told Who What Wear that bangs requests are up this fall because they offer "a seasonal change without the commitment of, let's say, a bob or bixie." To recreate the look, Velasquez said he brings up length first, adds face-framing layers, then cuts into the fringe to create wisps that land below the brow, advising clients to ask for bangs slightly longer than they want so the style can be "restyled" into a deliberately undone shape.
For styling, Velasquez alternates between one-inch and one-and-a-half-inch curling irons to create the look's airy waves, and recommends a medium-size round brush for blowing out bangs with volume. He named Virtue's Dry Shampoo as his pick for refreshing bangs between washes, while texturizing products he pointed to for the finish included R+Co's Beach Club spray, Rōz's Root Lift Spray and Oribe's Dry Texturizing Spray, alongside a heat protectant from Chris McMillan.
