Nail brand founder Jin Soon Choi said the look is a modern take on the decades-old vamp nail trend, and recommended her own polish shade, Theda, a translucent brown-vamp jelly she also used at the Proenza Schouler show, to recreate it.
Olive & June's VP of education, Olivia Van Iderstine, described the broader trend as 'brown nail fall,' saying a deep, cool-toned brown with less red and a glossy top coat gives the most polished finish. She tied the shade to the launch of Bieber's Rhode brand at Sephora Europe, calling it 'a shot of espresso for your nails.'
