Dove is releasing a limited-edition fine fragrance called Dove Original Fragrance that recreates the scent of its classic Beauty Bar soap, marking the brand's first entry into the fragrance category, according to The Zoe Report. The scent was developed with perfumer Ann Gottlieb, who has worked on Marc Jacobs' Daisy and CK One, and comes in a glass bottle shaped like a Dove Beauty Bar with a gold Dove-bird cap.
The fragrance is priced at $19.57, a nod to 1957, the year the Beauty Bar launched. A waitlist opened October 22 at dovefragrance.com, with purchases opening at 12 p.m. ET on October 27; Dove says the limited run will not be restocked once it sells out. Gottlieb said in a brand release that the scent's "freshness, familiarity and comfort" has "resonated for generations."
