Anok Yai and her friends spray the same perfume on each other before nights out

The model says she's gravitated toward Mugler's raspberry-and-jasmine Alien Pulp, and leaves parties as soon as someone compliments how she smells.

Model Anok Yai, the face of Mugler fragrances since 2024, told Who What Wear that she and her friends have a ritual of spraying the same perfume on each other before going out: "We'll take the perfume, and then we'll stand in a group and spray it all around us."

She's currently gravitating toward Mugler's Alien Pulp, which she described as spiked with raspberry and jasmine: "It's not innocent sweet. It's seductive sweet." She said she always leans toward floral, jasmine-based scents with a touch of vanilla, which reminds her of her mother, who kept vanilla perfume, candles and even wall paint around the house growing up.

For touch-ups, Yai carries the perfume along with a mahogany-toned lip liner and a clear MAC lip gloss. She said she's typically the last person to leave a party, and performs an "Irish goodbye" as soon as she hears someone compliment her scent, so that's the last thing people remember.

Yai, the British Fashion Council's 2025 Model of the Year, created her own Met Gala 2026 look this year — a "Black Madonna" concept with a sculptural prosthetic wig, airbrushed-bronze skin and pearl tears — pitching the idea herself to Balenciaga creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, who collaborated with her to bring it to life.
