At this week's "Verity" premiere in New York, Anne Hathaway wore a dark, square manicure that nail artist Mo Qin created using Essie's Gel Couture Longwear Nail Polish in Model Clicks, a $13 deep aubergine shade that reads nearly black under certain light. "We chose a deep, dark red for Verity to bring a slightly mysterious and dramatic feeling to the nails, tying the look back to the mood of the film and her character," Qin said in a press release.

Qin applied Essie's Strong Start Nail Treatment Strengthening Base Coat, an $8 biotin-infused formula the brand says improves polish adhesion while reinforcing nails, before two opaque coats of Model Clicks. She sealed the manicure with Essie's Gel Couture Top Coat for shine and finished with the brand's On a Roll Apricot Cuticle Oil to moisturize the cuticles.
