Anne Hathaway debuted a deep burgundy manicure, dubbed 'cherry noir,' at the New York premiere of her film Verity, created by celebrity manicurist Mo Quin, according to Harper's Bazaar. Quin said she chose the dark red shade and a short, square shape 'to bring a slightly mysterious and dramatic feeling to the nails, tying the look back to the mood of the film and her character.'
Quin prepped and shaped Hathaway's nails, applied an Essie base coat, painted two coats of Essie's Model Clicks gel polish, sealed it with a top coat, and finished with Essie's Apricot Cuticle Oil for added shine. Hathaway typically wears neutral nail colors, making the statement shade a departure for the actress, who wore a lighter 'coconut jelly' manicure earlier this summer.
