Anne Hathaway wore a new manicure her nail artist Mo Qin dubbed cherry noir to the premiere of Verity, a deep red shade so dark it's almost black, according to Elle. It follows a run of other nail looks from Hathaway in recent weeks, including a sheer nude called coconut water, a warm reddish-brown cherry cocoa mani, and a reflective classic red called ruby gloss.
We chose a deep, dark red for Verity to bring a slightly mysterious and dramatic feeling, tying the look back to the mood of the film and her character, Qin said. To create the look, Qin applied Essie Strong Start Base Coat, followed by two coats of Essie Gel Couture in Model Clicks, and finished with Essie Gel Couture Shiny Top Coat for a high-gloss seal.
