Beauty brand Alleyoop makes a retractable multi-tool called the Pen Pal 4-in-1 Touch-Up Pen, which combines eyeliner, lip liner, highlighter and a brow pencil in one clickable pen, twisting to expose more product instead of requiring a sharpener. It comes in three shade sets, each including the same black eyeliner and champagne highlighter: In a Rouge, with taupe brow pencil and nude pink lip liner for light skin tones; Make a Mauve, with dark brown brow pencil and mauve lip liner for medium skin tones; and Berry Busy, with dark brown brow pencil and a berry lip liner for deeper skin tones.
ELLE's beauty editors tested the pen and reported the tips were small and sharp enough for precise lines, with formulas they described as creamy and long-wearing. Staffers used it for lip liner, under-eye and brow-bone highlighting, and winged eyeliner, with several saying they planned to carry it as an all-in-one touch-up tool for travel, the gym or the office.
